The Cardinals struck 4:47 in with Gisselle Flores-Barajas opening the scoring by finishing a run from Mary Cuevas on a blast just inside the box past Yeshiva goalie Shani Kravetz (1-10-1) for the 1-0 lead.  In a first-half that saw the Cardinals outplay Yeshiva in shots (8-6), the Maccabees knotted the game in the 42nd minute with a shot by Elizabeth Pavel that beat York goalie Chelsea Vasquez (2-11-1) to send a tied game into intermission.

Yeshiva jumped ahead in the 68th minute when Dafna Levine used the wind to her advantage to loft a goal over Vasquez for the 2-1 lead.  The Cardinals answered in the 80th minute with the equalizer as Taylor Bellmon beat her defender in the box to put one past Kravetz.  Both teams played even for the remainder of regulation to move the match to overtime.

In the extra frames, York outshot Yeshiva by one (4-3) to earn its third draw in as many years.

Vasquez turned away three shots in a career-high 110 minutes logged in York's goal as Kravetz stopped eight shots.

In the end, York held the advantage in shots (17-13), shots on goal (10-5) and corner kicks (6-5).  Bellmon put up all four of her attempts on goal while Flores-Barajas landed five of her eight shots on target.

The Cardinals (2-11-1) wrap up their 2019 schedule Saturday (Nov. 2) with a non-conference road matchup against the Medgar Evers College Cougars (0-12-0) at 12 p.m. on the campus of Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn.
