www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College women's tennis returned to action Wednesday afternoon with a CUNYAC opening matchup from York College Courts against the first-place Hunter College Hawks (7-1, 4-0 CUNYAC). The Hawks took eight matches to claim an 8-1 victory from the Cardinals.
Geraldine Guese improved to 2-1 on the season with a No. 1 singles win against Hunter's Zaara Afida. Guese outlasted Afida with a 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) triumph to register York's lone win. York also posted points in Nos. 1-2 doubles as well as Nos. 2-3 singles.
