@yorkcardinals Women’s Tennis celebrates Senior Day against Brooklyn

York College returns to action Sunday (Oct. 13) at Rutgers-Newark University


JAMAICA, NY --- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College women's tennis returned home Friday afternoon to host the Brooklyn College Bulldogs (2-9, 1-4 CUNAYC) for a Senior Day CUNYAC matchup from York College Courts.  Kaithlyn Taylor (2016-19) was celebrated prior to first serve with the annual Senior Day Ceremony for her dedication to York College Athletics. The Cardinals continue to progress as York scored points in all but one match on the day in an 8-1 setback to Brooklyn. 

Leading the way for York was Nayelly Rojas, who earned her first-career victory with a 6-0, 6-3 triumph in fifth singles over Brooklyn's Alana Silberg.  The Cardinals registered three points in both the first and second doubles while Rimsha Razi took three points in the opening set of her third singles match against Dora Batinovic.
