York Swimming Falls in Defeat to Baruch

JAMAICA, N.Y. – The York College Men's and Women's swim team took a tough loss on Tuesday night versus Baruch College 89-50.
 
For the women's team, Mariela Rosario placed 1stin the 200 meter IM (2:26.92). Shantusha Kanhai finished first in the 100 meter IM (1:37.60). In the 200-meter freestyle the team of Geraldine Guese, Shantusha Kanhai, Dorianny Rojas and Mariela Rosario finished first in the 200-meter freestyle (2:40.91).
 
In the men's events, Juan Rodriguez placed first in the 100-meter breaststroke with a time of 1:27.18.  The team of Arafath Hussain, Juan Rodriguez, Jeremy Sapeg and Anthony Jordan placed second in the 200-meter relay with a time of 1:50.75.
 
The next time both York College swim teams will compete is on Thursday January 24that 6:00pm vs CSI pm Senior Night.
