Cardinals Fall in Defeat To Bloodhounds

JAMAICA, N.Y.-- On Thursday January 17th, the Lady Cardinals suffered a rough defeat at the hands of the John Jay Bloodhounds by a score of 55-104.

In the 200-meter free style relay, the team of Geraldine Guese, Dorianny Rojas, Argenis Morales and Mariela Rosario finished in first place (1:34.19). Argenis Morales placed first on the 400-meter freestyle competition (9:25.33). Shantusha Kanhai recorded a time of 1:34.19 which was good enough for first place in the 100 meter breast-stroke competition and also finished second in the 200-meter (3:00.04).

The team of Dorianny Rojas, Shantusha Kanhai, Mariela Rosario and Geraldine Guese placed second in the 200-meter medley relay (3:04.83).

The next time the York College swim team competes will be Saturday 1:00 pm on the road at the University of Bridgeport.
