BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The York College women's soccer team suffered a 12-0 loss to City College of New York on Wednesday afternoon at Aviator Field in both team's CUNYAC opener.

The Beavers (4-3, 1-0 CUNYAC) got on the board in the 14th minute off Susan Aracena's left-side shot. The visitors would tack on three quick goals in seven minutes with Aracena assisting on two goals before scoring her second of the game in the 28th minute. Another two quick tallies with less than five minutes before intermission had CCNY leading 6-0 at the break.

Stephanie Gutierrez made five saves early in the second stanza to help keep CCNY from increasing their lead over the first 15 minutes of the second half. However, the Cardinals (0-7-1, 0-1 CUNYAC) had limited opportunities in the attacking third as they were limited to one shot, a Taylor Bellmon attempt late in the contest, and the Beavers eventually poured in six goals in a span of 15 minutes to match their first-half output.

Daniela Grisales-Agudelo led the Beavers with a hat-trick as CCNY finished with a 26-1 shot advantage.

York continues CUNYAC play heading to the Bronx to facing Lehman College on Saturday, Sept. 22 in an 11 a.m. showdown.
