LANGHORNE, P.A.—The York College men's volleyball team lost both matches at Cairn University Friday night. They fell to Kean University in the opener, 3-0 (25-3, 25-3, 25-8) and then lost to Cairn, 3-0 (25-9, 25-5, 25-21).
Against Kean (12-2), the Cardinals managed just six kills on the evening, while Kean recorded 30 kills with a hitting percentage of .605.
Akeem George and
Akil Vaughn had the most kills for York with two apiece.
In the match against Cairn (5-6), the Cardinals struggled in the first two sets before making it close in the third.
Larry Moore led York with four kills, while
Kevin Campbell had eight digs.
Akeem George had three blocks.
York (1-7) will open up CUNYAC play on Monday with a tri-match at Medgar Evers College. York will battle Baruch College at 2 p.m. and face Medgar Evers at 4 p.m.
