YORK COLLEGE MOVES ON TO CHAMPIONSHIP GAME IN INVITATIONAL

Jamaica, N.Y ---The 2018 York Invitational took place in the York College Gymnasium. The participating teams are as following; in Game 1 it would be St. Mary's College of Maryland vs Saint Vincent College (PA). Game 2 would have Clarks Summit University vs York College.
 
In Game 1 of the Invitational, St. Mary's would come out on top by a score of 82-80. In this close game between two competitive teams, Seahawk Spencer Schultz scored 23 points and four rebounds. 
 
Early in the game, Saint Vincent fell behind in the early minutes. By the half St Mary's  would be in command of the game with a score of 51-35. Despite a strong performance by Saint Vincent Tom Kromka with 20 points and 10 rebounds, St. Mary's would come out on top to advance to the championship game.
 
Game 2 would feature the home team of York College vs Clark Summit University. By the 15thminute the Cardinals would have a 12-7 lead over Clark Summit University. Darin Dove would score on a layup with an assist by his teammate Stephan Cadet.
 
At the half York would be leading with a score of 43-32. The rest of the game would seem to go York's way. York's Darin Dove would lead the Cardinals with 26 points by shooting 5-11 from 3pt range. The final score would be York College 85- Clark Summit University 65.
 
The consolation and championship games are set to be played on Saturday December 15th. The first game is scheduled to start at 1:00 pm featuring Saint Vincent College vs Clark Summit University. The Championship game is scheduled to be played at 3:00 pm featuring St. Mary's of Maryland vs. York College.
