JAMAICA, N.Y. — The York College women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 non-conference decision to Rutgers-Newark (2-10) on Saturday morning at the York College Tennis Courts. 

Junior Geraldine Guese (Astoria, N.Y./William Cullen Bryant HS) led the Cardinals at the top of the lineup and played a hard-fought match at No. 1 singles in an 8-5 defeat. She also Rimsha Razi (Queens, N.Y./Information Technology HS) for a 6-2 lost in the top doubles match.

The Cardinals (0-7) head to Kean University for a non-conference match on Tuesday, October 23.
