BOX SCORE JAMAICA, N.Y.—The York College men's basketball team picked up its third straight win on Wednesday, defeating the College of Saint Elizabeth, 88-78, in a non-conference contest.
York (8-13) once again had a balanced attack, with five players reaching double figures in points.

Maliqe John and

St. Elizabeth (5-13) got a game-high 21 points from Jason Saldiveri. Cam Tucker scored 15 points with four assists.
The Cardinals won this game due in large part to their dominance on the glass. They out-rebounded St. Elizabeth, 65-33, which included 29 offensive rebounds.
The game was close for most of the first half. The Cardinals were trailing by one point, but an 8-0 York run late in the half put the Cardinals up by seven points. They would eventually go into halftime up by five points.
York came out strong out of the locker room and scored the first ten points to extend the lead to 15.
Jonathan Jones and
Jean Joseph were instrumental for York during the run. St. Elizabeth was able to hang around though as York got into early foul trouble. St. Elizabeth was in the bonus for the final 11 minutes of the game. These extra free throws helped the Eagles cut the lead down to just five points with under five minutes to play. However, buckets for York on its next three possessions pushed the lead back to double digits and sealed the win.
York will now look to keep it going on Saturday when they host Marywood University at 3 p.m.
