Brooklyn College Beats York After Pulling Away in the Second Half

BROOKLYN, N.Y.- Brooklyn College struck nine times in Saturday's afternoon contest against the York College women's soccer team and won by a final score of 9-2.
Lisette Tlatelpa, who scored five goals for the Bulldogs to go along with an assist, began the scoring for the day with a goal in just the fifth minute. However, Antonella Campos answered back just five minutes later with one of her two goals in the contest after receiving an excellent pass from 30 yards out from Michelle Rodriguez. Her second goal came in the second half on a pass from Rosalis Espinal off a free kick, but the offense of the Bulldogs was too much for Cardinals in this matchup.
The Bulldogs fired 22 shots on goal and tested goaltender Stephanie Gutierrez throughout the contest. Gutierrez did all she could to keep the Cardinals in the game, recording 13 saves in the game, including a few great saves early in the first half.

The Cardinals now hold a 0-5 record but will look to pick up a win in their next meeting against John Jay College. The game is scheduled for this Wednesday, September 20th at 4:00 pm.
