NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – The York College softball team was swept on the road by the College of New Rochelle on Friday night.
York lost game one, 15-2, and fell in the nightcap, 10-2.
The Cardinals managed just one hit and two runs in the first game.
Luisana Guzman doubled to start the second inning and she later scored on a RBI ground out by Kenihak Taverez. The Cardinals later scored a run in the fifth inning on a
Gabriela Alvarez sacrifice fly.
Chyla Guevara led York in game #2, going 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a triple.
Dorianny Rojas had York's only RBI on the night.
York is now 0-20, while New Rochelle is 12-8. These two teams will meet up again on Monday at 4 p.m. at Padavan-Preller Field.
