ANNONDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.— The York College men's volleyball team struggled in a non-conference match at Bard College Saturday, losing 3-0 (25-12, 25-16, 25-13).
York hit at a negative hitting percentage in each set and never gave Bard much of a threat. Meanwhile, the Raptors combined to hit a solid .276 as a team, collecting 34 kills on the day.
Bard got ten kills apiece from Tristan Kozul and Alex Adams. Mahir Sheikh had a match-high 23 assists.
York registered just 13 kills on the day, led by
Burrel Kirk Murray and
Akeem George with four.
Adil Manji was solid on defense with eight digs.
York falls to 3-11 on the season, while Bard improves to 4-14. The Cardinals will return home on Tuesday with an important CUNYAC match with Brooklyn College at 7 p.m.
