BROOKLYN, NY – The York College Cardinals men's soccer team suffered a tough, 3-0 defeat at the hands of the Bard College Raptors on Saturday. After a close first half, Bard scored two second-half goals to pull away.
Bard opened up the scoring in the 29th minute of the match when senior Austin Higgins put one in unassisted to give the Raptors a 1-0 lead. Junior Nick Shenberger would later give Bard a 2-0 lead as he netted one off the assist from Tamaki Chiba in the 61st minute. Bard would then put the match away on a goal by junior Jackson Barratt Heitmann, assisted by Andrew Arlotto, in the 81st minute.
In total, the Cardinals tallied four shots and allowed three goals on 18 shots, only nine of which were on goal. Goalkeeper

The York men return to action on Monday, September 19 at 6 p.m. against New Jersey City University at Aviator Sports and Events Center in Brooklyn.
