JAMAICA, N.Y.— York College senior
Anthony Mason scored 23 points and grabbed nine boards to lead the York College men's basketball team to a 79-74 win over Hunter College on senior night.

Rashaan Bailey had a stellar night as well in his final home game, finishing with 17 points and five boards. Junior
Ryan St. John had the hot hand from three, connecting on 4 of 5 shots from long range to finish with 15 points. Freshman
Ryan Smart had 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Hunter was led by Brian Kruger, who had 20 points and Gerard Carty with 14 points.
After trailing for most of the game, York evened up the score at 58-58 with seven minutes to go after a after Mason lay-up capped a 6-0 Cardinal run. After falling behind by one, Mason came through again—this time with a three-point play to put York on top 66-64 with 5:16 to go.
York then started to build up its lead after a
Chad Coachman steal led to a
Rashaan Bailey bucket, putting York on top 71-66 with 2:24 to go. The Cardinals then maintained its two-possession lead until Kruger drained a three to cut it to a three-point York advantage with 14 seconds to go. However, Hunter was forced to foul at this point, and
Taron Pascal hit both free throws to seal the win.
The Cardinals wrap up the regular season with a record of 10-15, 7-9 CUNYAC. They will be the #7 seed in the upcoming CUNYAC Playoffs. They will visit the City College of New York on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the first round.
