JAMAICA, N.Y.—The York College women's volleyball team lost in straight sets to Farmingdale State College on Friday evening by a score of 3-0 (25-12, 25-16, 25-16).
York's
Tiandra Jones had a nice game in defeat, recording seven kills with a .238 hitting percentage and nine digs.
Farmindale's Julia Hande finished with a match-high ten kills, to go along with 11 assists, five aces and eight digs.
After Farmingdale took the opening set with ease, York had a chance to take the second set after taking a 14-13 lead following an
Argenis Contreras ace. But a few moments later, the Rams would score five unanswered to move ahead and eventually take the set. The final set saw Farmingdale once again take an early lead and never look back.
The Rams improves to 13-6 with the win, while York falls to 2-19. The Cardinals visit Brooklyn College on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
