JAMAICA, N.Y. – The York College men's basketball team has earned a berth into the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Metro Division tournament as the #7 seed. They will visit the second-seeded Rutgers-Newark University Scarlet Raiders on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
York was one of four CUNYAC schools to earn a bid. Brooklyn College was tabbed as the #1 seed and will host #8 Centenary College, while fellow CUNYAC schools Lehman College and the College of Staten Island earned the #4 and #5 seeds respectively and will battle in the quarterfinals at Lehman. In the other quarterfinal contest, #3 New York University will welcome #6 Rutgers University-Camden.
Should York advance, they will play the winner of New York University and Rutgers-Camden on Saturday, March 7. The time and location for that game has not been determined yet. The Championship game will be played on March 8.
