Farmingdale Scores Three Times in Second Half to Top York Men’s Soccer

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. - Farmingdale State defeated the York College men's soccer team today, 5-1, as the Rams' Victor Romero led the way with two goals and one assist.
 
Romero opened the scoring in the ninth minute with an unassisted goal, before making it 2-0 just six minutes later off a lob pass over the defense from junior midfielder J.T. Famularo. York's senior forward Andre Adelson sent a low shot past the Rams goalie at the 25:16 mark and Farmingdale would hold the 2-1 advantage at the halftime break.
 
In the second, the Rams held York to just two shots and added three more goals to secure the non-conference win. Two goals came from senior midfielder Julian Munera, one from freshman forward Samuele Riva with a Romero assist.
 
The Cardinals fall to 3-4 overall with the loss, while Farmingdale improves to 3-6
 
York will host St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Aviator Field.
