JAMAICA, N.Y.— The York College women's tennis team took on the College of Staten Island—the first-place team in the CUNY Athletic Conference—and came up short, losing by a score of 7-2.
Staten Island won all matches in straight sets but defaulted on third doubles and sixth singles, which accounted for York's two points. The Dolphins improve to 7-3, 5-1 CUNYAC, while York drops to 1-5, 0-4 CUNYAC.
The Cardinals return to action tomorrow when they visit Mt. St. Mary College at 6 p.m.
