Women’s Tennis Eliminated by Staten Island in CUNYAC Quarterfinals

JAMAICA, N.Y. – The York College women's tennis team was eliminated by the College of Staten Island in the quarterfinals of the City University of New York Athletic Conference Championships by a score of 5-0.
 
The Dolphins of Staten Island took all three doubles matches, before winning #2 and #4 singles to clinch the victory. 
 
With the win, CSI improves to 9-3 and advances to the semifinals on Wednesday, October 22.  Despite the loss for York, the Cardinals season is not over.  York will wrap up the season later this week with non-conference matches on Thursday and Friday against Kean University and Sarah Lawrence College respectively.  Both matches were rescheduled contests from rainouts earlier in the season.

5. Michelle Kushnir (CSIW) vs. Torres, Victoria (YORK) 6-3, 1-2, unfinished
6. Viktoriya Volkova (CSIW) vs. Khalfan, Farrah (YORK) 6-1, unfinished
 
Doubles competition:
