BOX SCORE
YONKERS, N.Y.— The York College men's soccer team completely controlled the action in its 2013 season-opening match, as they outshot Sarah Lawrence College, 41-1, and won by a comfortable, 4-0 margin on Thursday evening.

Junior Rachidi Amadou, who returned to the Cardinals after sitting out last season, picked up where he left off as he scored two goals to lead the Cardinals on offense.  He netted the match's first goal in the 15th minute of play.

Just over a minute later Rohan Burrell scored his first career goal, which was set up by junior Andre Adelson, making it 2-0.  The score would remain the same going into halftime.

In the second half, Amadou added his second, when he stole the ball from a defender and then beat the keeper, making it 3-0 in the 67th minute.  The Cardinals then put a bow on the victory when Brandon Yotagri scored unassisted to make it 4-0 in the 90th minute.

York will return to action on Saturday when they travel to the United States Merchant Marine Academy for an 11 a.m. match.
