Purchase Rallies to Top York Women’s Volleyball

PURCHASE, N.Y.—The York College women's volleyball team won the first set but saw Purchase College rally to win the next three and lost to the Panthers by a score of 3-1 (18-25, 25-22, 25-9, 26-24) in a non-conference contest Monday evening.
Purchase won the third set convincingly but York had chances to take the second and fourth sets and came up a bit short. Despite the loss, freshman
Carlean McCrimmon finished with a team-high nine kills and a .226 hitting percentage, to go along with two solo blocks, five digs and two aces.
NaaDira Patrick finished with five kills and seven total blocks and
Allison Li added 15 digs.
Purchase (4-5) was led by Alex Laily, who finished with a match-high 17 kills and 20 digs
York (2-13) will have some time off after a busy few days of matches and will return to action on October 8 when they visit Sarah Lawrence College at 7:00 p.m.
