BOX SCORE
BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Despite outshooting Farmingdale State College, the York College men's soccer team fell to the Rams by a score of 3-0 on Monday afternoon.
The Cardinals held a 20-14 shot advantage, but only a few of those shots were a challenge to the Farmingdale keeper. Meanwhile, Farmingdale made the most of its opportunities, scoring on two breakaways and a corner kick.
The match's first goal came in the 21st minute when J.T Famularo took a pass from Renato Ipince and found himself all alone with an open path to the goal. He beat York keeper
Leszek Stankiewicz to make it 1-0.
In the second half, Farmingdale was able to get some insurance, when Tyler Rollman directed a corner kick to Joe Lipsky, who headed the ball into the net in the 59th minute to make it 2-0.
Famularo would then add another goal in the 83rd minute to put the game well out of reach.
