Women’s Volleyball Drops CUNYAC Match to Hunter

NEW YORK, N.Y.— The York College women's volleyball team were outplayed by the Hunter College Hawks in a CUNY Athletic Conference match on Tuesday evening.  The Cardinals fell 3-0 (25-6, 25-12, 25-16).
 
The Hawks hit .271 as a team, including a first set where they hit an impressive .438 in dominant effort.  Meanwhile, they held the Cardinals to just .074 hitting.  In addition, Hunter was on it game at the service line as they registered 18 aces on the night.  Leading the way was Taylor Cordrich, who had eight kills and hit .500, to go along with four aces.
 
The Cardinals were led by NaaDira Patrick, who finished with four kills and three digs.  Carlean McCrimmon had three kills and three other players—Allison Li, Stayce Kay Muirhead and Evelyn Florentino—each recorded four digs.
 
York drops to 1-6, 1-2 CUNYAC and Hunter improves to 4-5, 3-0 CUNYAC.  The Cardinals will host CCNY on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
