Women’s Tennis Drops Conference Match to Baruch
JAMAICA, N.Y.— In a rematch of last year's marathon, CUNYAC quarterfinal meeting, Baruch College got bit of revenge on the York College women's tennis team, defeating the Cardinals a by a score of 7-2 on Friday afternoon.
York's only two victories came in singles play.
Anna Ko continued her strong play, winning at #4 singles over Lisa Kurner by a score of 6-2, 6-2.
Nicole Jones was also a winner as she won 7-5, 2-6, 10-7 at #2 singles. The Bearcats took the remaining four singles matches with ease and also took all three doubles matches.
York falls to 2-3, 1-1 in the CUNYAC with the loss. Baruch improves to 2-2, 2-0 in CUNYAC play.
