Men's Soccer Fall Short Against Brooklyn College

BROOKLYN, N.Y.— The York College men's soccer team fell to Brooklyn College, 2-0, in a CUNY Athletic Conference soccer contest, Saturday afternoon.
Brooklyn College got out to an early, 1-0, lead when Peterson Petit Frere stole the ball from York and assisted to Pajtim Gjonbalaj in just the three-minute mark of the game. Brooklyn was firing shots from all over, taking 14 shots in the first half to York's five.
In the second half York made a strong effort to try to get back in the game letting off eight shots compared to Brooklyn's one. Any of the Cardinal's effort was quickly erased in the 85th minute when Brooklyn's Cheyne Tribbey scored a goal in the box to go up, 2-0, and secure the win. The Bulldogs improve to 4-3-1, 1-0-1 in the CUNYAC.
York, 0-7-1, 0-2-1, will try to get its first win of the season this Wednesday when they visit Lehman College.
