Men’s Soccer Struggles Defensively in 4-0 Loss to Farmingdale

FARMINGDALE, N.Y.— The York College men's soccer team outshot Farmingdale State but the Rams made the most of their scoring opportunities, netting four goals, while shutting down York offensively en route to a 4-0 victory over the Cardinals Monday afternoon.
Four different players scored for the Rams, led by John Popovic, who scored the match's first goal and later added an assist on the third goal. J.T. Famularo also added a goal and an assist for the Rams.
York managed 13 shots on the day but only four were on target, all of which were turned aside by Farmingdale keeper Angelo Viteritti.
York, 0-4-1, will look to get on track when they visit the College of Staten Island on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
