Women’s Tennis Falls Short Against Purchase Panthers 6-3

Cardinals Win Bottom Three Singles' Flights

JAMAICA, N.Y.— The York College women's tennis team was unable to stop Purchase College Friday, losing by a score of 6-3.

Despite York's best efforts they were swept in doubles play. However, the Cardinals were able to pick up three victories in singles match-ups. Maleeka Chin was a 6-4,6-1 winner in fourth singles. Anna Ko followed with her fifth flight victory, 6-4, 6-3, while Nikita Ramsay added a 6-4,6-4 win at #6 singles.

York, 1-2, will return to action on Tuesday when they host St. Joseph's College (Long Island) at 4:00 p.m.
