Sarah Lawrence Defeats Women’s Volleyball in Four Sets

BRONXVILLE, NY—The York College women's volleyball team fell to Sarah Lawrence College 3-1 (25-12, 23-25, 25-20, 25-15) in a non-conference contest Friday evening.

York got a match-high ten kills from Yasheka Lewis but it would not be enough to give the Cardinals the win. Lewis also chipped in seven digs, while Antenieka Burton chipped in six kills and seven digs. Stayce Kay Muirhead added five digs and three blocks and Evelyn Florentino registered 21 assists and five digs.

The loss drops York to 3-12 on the season. They will look to bounce back on Monday when they visit St. Joseph's College at 7:30 p.m.
