Men’s Soccer Plays to Draw With Hunter

RANDALLS ISLAND, NY—
A rematch of the last two CUNY Athletic Conference men's soccer championships lived up to its billing, as the York College men's soccer team played to a 0-0 tie with Hunter College at Randall's Island Wednesday evening. 

The Hawks outshot the Cardinals by a 17-9 margin and put pressure on the York defense for most of the contest, but York keeper Samer Abdelfattah stopped 11 shots in net, including a diving save in the first overtime, which saved the match for York. 

Hunter keeper Zade Haobsh made five stops in net to preserve the tie for Hunter.

With the tie, York's record now stands at 3-5-1, 2-1-1 in the CUNYAC, while Hunter stands at 4-4-3, 2-0-2 in the CUNYAC.  

York will host John Jay College on Saturday at noon.
