Women’s Volleyball Falls in Season Opener to William Paterson

JAMAICA, NY— The York College women's volleyball team dropped its season-opening match to William Paterson University Thursday evening, losing by a score of 3-0 (25-7, 25-8, 25-6).
The Pioneers controlled the match from the onset, jumping out to an early cushion in each set and never looking back. WPU's Kelly Shaw and Kim Runge recorded a match-high eight kills, while Megan Maher finished with a match-high 15 assists, five aces and six digs.
York was led by freshman Pamela Yap who picked up five digs. #Maria Suero-Santos# added four digs.
York, 0-1, will host New Jersey City University on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
