Women’s Volleyball Downed by Ramapo

MAHWAH, NJ— The York College women's volleyball team fell to a very strong Ramapo College team by a score of 3-0 (25-5, 25-18, 25-9) in a non-conference match-up Tuesday evening.
Ramapo College controlled the match from the onset, as they recorded a .375 hitting percentage and 22 service aces on the night. Maura Burke led all palyers with 11 kills, while finishing with a .625 hitting percentage. Tiffany Fischer and Meagan Taega each had five aces apiece.
For York, freshman Mi-Asia King led the team with six kills, while Maria Suero-Santos added three kills. With the loss, York drops to 4-11, while Ramapo improves to 13-2.
York will look to get back on track on Wednesday when they host Manhattanville at 7:00 p.m.
