JAMAICA, NY – Despite holding a 25-5 shot advantage, the York College men's soccer team could not find the back of the net and fell to Lehman College, 2-0, in a CUNY Athletic Conference match up Wednesday. Meanwhile, Lehman made the most of its opportunities, scoring two goals with just five shots.
Lehman picked up both goals in a six-minute span in the first half. Daniel Brentuo scored an unassisted goal in the 35th minute to open the scoring. Then in the 41st minute, Brentuo set up Geovanny Arrendonde for the second goal of the game.
In the second half, York controlled the ball for nearly the entire half but could not take advantage of several opportunities. Lehman goalie Michael Hintze stifled the York attack, making ten saves.
York will look to get back on track on Saturday when they host CCNY at noon.
