Early Goal Gives Baruch 1-0 Win over York

JAMAICA, NY – A goal by Baruch's Brian Wright just 4:20 into the game proved to be the difference as the Bearcats defeated the York College men's soccer team 1-0 on Wednesday afternoon. With the win, Baruch (14 points) moves past York (12 points) into first place in the City University of New York Athletic Conference.
The strong winds played a major factor in the match. Both teams struggled to get shots on goal as a number of shots were pushed wide by the swirling winds. The Cardinals managed just one shot on net in the contest.
York falls to 4-7, 4-2 in the CUNYAC, while Baruch improves to 4-4-3, 4-0-2 in the CUNYAC. York will visit City Tech on Saturday at noon.
