Lady Cardinals Downed by Purchase

PURCHASE, NY— With the team missing a number of its key players, the York College women’s volleyball squad fell to Purchase College 3-0 (25-22, 25-11, 25-15). The loss drops their record to 2-10 on the season.

Despite the loss, York got another solid game from setter Charlina Gallegos (Mexico City, MX/ Hillcrest), who had seven assists and three digs. Stephanie Ostin (Brooklyn, NY/ Clara Barton) led York with three kills.

Purchase’s Olivia Hintz had a match-high eight kills to lead the Panthers.

York will host Pratt Institute on Friday at 7 p.m.
