Late Goal by Fraser Lifts York over John Jay

JAMAICA, NY— A goal by York’s Jameel Fraser (Bronx, NY/ Mt. St. Michael) off an assist from Dukens Riche (Brooklyn, NY/ South Shore) with just 1:45 left to play in regulation gave the York College men’s soccer team a 1-0 victory over conference-rival John Jay College on Saturday afternoon.
With the win York improves to 4-2, 2-0 in the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) and now has six points to sit atop the conference standings.
York goalie, Pierrson-Pierre Louis (Port-au-Prince, Haiti/ Van Buren) posted his first shutout of the season, making seven saves in net. John Jay goalie Christopher Adao made six stops.
York will take on Brooklyn College on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
