York Tennis Falls to John Jay College

JAMAICA, NY— The York College tennis team took its second defeat of the season Wednesday, falling to John Jay College 7-2 in a CUNY Athletic Conference match.  Mark Feinsod and Deva Maharaj picked up there first win in doubles competition by a score of 8-0.   In singles competition Mark Feinsod was the lonesome winner by defeating Matthew Hicks by a score of 6-0, 6-0. Feinsod improves to 2-0 in singles competition with the win.

 

“I’m confident that our team will gel when the time is right,” stated head coach Ramon Smart.  “We have a young team this year and we need to practice hard so guys can be in playing shape.”

 

York, 0-2, will be back in action on Friday when they visit Brooklyn College at 3:30 p.m.
