York Swimming Downed by Lehman College
JAMAICA, NY— The York College men’s and women’s swim team lost to Lehman College in a CUNYAC meet on Tuesday night. The men fell 70-37, while the women lost 99-67. Ayanna Bennett (Hempstead, NY/ Uniondale) led the women’s team with two first place finishes.
Bennett had the only two first place finishes for the women, taking both the 50-free and the 100-breaststroke. On the men’s side, James Kearney took home the Cardinals only first place finish in the 100-breaststroke.
The women’s team will be back in action today when they host Hunter College at 4:30 p.m. The men will visit Old Westbury on Thursday at 6 p.m.
