York College Swim Team Downed by Staten Island
STATEN ISLAND, NY— The York College men’s and women’s swim team fell to the College of Staten Island on Friday night. The men’s team fell 98-35, while the women fell, 125-24. The men fall to 1-4, 0-2 in the CUNYAC, while the women are now 1-6, and 0-3 in the CUNYAC.
Arriya Rojtinnakorn (Queens, NY/Queens HS of Tech) picked up the Cardinals lone first place finish, winning the 100-breaststroke. Brian Miller (Long Island/ Uniondale) picked up a pair of second-place finishes in both the 50-free and the 100-free.
On the women’s side, Ayanna Bennett finished second among five competitors in the 50-free.
York will host Lehman College on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
