York Men’s Soccer Falls to Farmingdale; Winning Streak Snapped

 
Farmingdale, NY— The York College men’s soccer team had their four game winning streak snapped as they fell to SUNY Farmingdale 6-0 on Saturday afternoon.  With the loss, the Cardinals fall to 6-4 on the season.
 
Farmingdale got on the board early, scoring in the second minute of the game.  The Rams would then put up three more goals before halftime to extend their lead to 4-0.   Farmingdale’s Andrew Whilby scored three first-half goals to record a hat-trick.  In the second half, Farmingdale added two more goals. 
 
The Rams defense stifled the Cardinals attack, holding York to just three shots on the game.  Ini Ekanem (Lagos, Nigeria/ Evander Childs) led the Cardinals with two shots on the day.
York will take on John Jay next Wednesday at 6 p.m.
