Men’s and Women’s Swimming Fall to Pace, Mount St. Mary’s in Tri-Meet
NEWBURGH, NY—The York College men’s and women’s swim team fell to Pace College and Mt. St. Mary’s College at a tri-meet at Mount Saint Mary’s on Tuesday evening. The women’s team lost 58-20 and 50-37 to Pace and Mount Saint Mary’s respectively, while the men lost 43-25 to Pace and 58-35 to Mount Saint Mary’s.
Arriya Rojtinnakorn (Queens, NY/ Queens HS of Tech.) took first place in the men’s 200-yard Individual Medley and third place in the men’s 100-yard backstroke to lead the Cardinals. Brian Miller (Long Island/ Uniondale) also took third in the 100-yard breaststroke.
For the women, Ayanna Bennett (Hempstead, NY/ Uniondale) led York with third place finishes in both the 200-yard Individual Medley and the 100-yard breaststroke.
The men fall to 1-2, while the women drop to 1-3 on the season. The women’s swim team will visit John Jay on Monday at 6:30 p.m. The men are idle until November 27 when they travel to Baruch College at 6 p.m
