Women’s Volleyball Downed by Ramapo

MAHWAH, NJ— The York College Women’s Volleyball team fell to Ramapo College in a non-conference match on Thursday evening. The Cardinals fell 3-0 (30-8, 30-15, 30-12).
Patricia Georgi (Flushing, NY/ RF Kennedy) had five kills and Pamela Lebron (Santo Domingo, DR/ Politenico Las Caobas) had four blocks to lead York. Renee Thompson (Jamaica-WI, St. Ann/ Hillcrest) added eight assists and three digs.
Ramapo’s Meagan Taege had a game-high 12 kills and a .562 hitting percentage and Ashley Cornett recorded 28 assists for the Roadrunners.
York falls to 3-23, while Ramapo improves to 17-10. The Cardinals will host their final home game of the season on Sunday when they play Yeshiva at noon.
