York Women’s Volleyball Falls to First-Place Hunter

NEW YORK, NY—Playing against Hunter College, the top team in the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC), the York College Women’s Volleyball team fell 3-0 (30-10, 30-8, 30-7) in the Cardinals final conference match of the season.
Hunter improves to 18-9, 9-0 in the CUNYAC, while York falls to 3-22, 1-8 in the CUNYAC. Patricia Georgi (Flushing, NY/ RF Kennedy) had a game-high 10 digs to lead York, while Renee Thompson (Jamaica, WI-St. Ann/ Hillcrest) contributed with seven digs. Hunter’s Amanda Kamm had a game-high 8 kills to lead the Hawks. Ashley Willock (Valencia, Trinidad/ Law & Government) led York with two kills.
York will visit Ramapo on Thursday at 8 p.m in a non-conference match.
