Women Place 11th, Men 12th at Baruch Invitational

BRONX, NY— The York College women's cross country team placed 11
th and the men's team finished in 12
th place, in its opening meet of the season—the Baruch Invitational—at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx on Sunday morning.
Pace University (69 points) and Queens College (28 points) won the women's and men's race respectively. The top finisher for the York women was
Johane Accime who placed 36
th in the 6k race with a time of 33:51.
Joviette Frederick finished 44
th for the Cardinals in a time of 35:53. Indira Avila of Queens College won the women's race in a time of 24:17
The top finisher on the men's side for York was
Anthony Parsons who finished 45
th in the 8k race with a time of 35:22. Tyler Bay of Queens College was first overall in a time of 28:39.
York will return to action next Saturday when they run at the Bard Invitational.
