Busat Named CUNYAC Men’s Tennis All-Star; Takes Home Sportsmanship Award for Second Straight Year

JAMAICA, NY – York College men's tennis standout Ayman Busat was honored with a pair of awards by the CUNY Athletic Conference this week. The sophomore was named a first-team CUNYAC/ Hospital for Special Surgery All-Star and also was honored with the Sportsmanship Award. It is the second consecutive year Busat has won the Sportsmanship Award.

Busat sported a 6-7 record in singles play, while going up against the toughest competition in the region at first singles. He went 5-8 at first doubles, playing with four different partners throughout the season.

“Ayman is an unselfish, respectable, hard-working student-athlete,” said York Head Tennis Coach Greg Jackson. He has an all-around game and a great understanding of the sport. I am fortunate to have him.”
