Weekes Leads York at Lehman Invitational

BRONX, NY— Tarik Weekes finished 13^th overall, running the 8k race at Van Cortlandt Park in a time of 30:04 to lead the York College cross country teams at the Lehman Invitational on Sunday morning. Weekes was the top finisher among CUNY Athletic Conference schools.

Overall, the men's team placed tenth overall (267 points) out of 19 teams. C.W. Post nearly had a perfect score, as their top 4 runners came across the line first. Their fifth place runner was ninth for a total of 19 points.

The York women were led by Johane Accime, who finished the 5k race in 54^th place (25:48). Joviette Frederick was in 65^th place overall with a time of 26:27.41.

York will run at the Staten Island Invitational on Sunday in Staten Island.
