BRONX, NY— The York College women's tennis team picked up its first win of the season Saturday afternoon, defeating conference rival CCNY, 7-2.  With the win, York improves to 1-3, 1-2 in the CUNYAC.

The Lady Cardinals started off the match strong, winning two of the three doubles matches.  Nicole Jones and Kameesha Sylvester won 8-5 at #2 doubles and Tenzin Kunchok and Ana Ko were 8-4 winners at third doubles.

In singles play, York took five of the six singles matches.  Amba Chanoine cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at third singles and Nina Olladikankwu also won 6-0, 6-0 at fourth singles.

York will look for another conference victory when they host Medgar Evers College on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.
