ROCKY MOUNT, NC— The York College softball team dropped its season-opening doubleheader Saturday afternoon, falling to North Carolina Wesleyan 10-0 and 11-0 respectively.

The Lady Cardinals only scratched out three hits as their offense was stifled by a pair of NC Wesleyan hurlers.  York was also done in by poor fielding, committing nine errors combined in the two contests.

Wesleyan was led by Meredith Mills who collected four hits, two doubles and six-RBI's in the two games. For York, Sophomore Geneva Faulk picked up two of the three hits on the day.

York (0-2) will be idle until March 21, when they visit Polytechnic at noon.
