NEW YORK, NY—The York College women's track and field team competed at the highly competitive New Balance Invitational Saturday and 4 x 400 relay team made an impressive showing.  The Lady Cardinals squad of Alexandra Nkrumah, Chianne Ashman, Alexis Schloss and Kadisha Wickham placed fifth overall in a time of 3:58.47.  The team came in behind four division I schools and beat out all other division II and III schools.

In addition, Ashman had the best individual finish for York, coming in 13^th place out of over 60 competitors in the 60-meter dash.  She finished in a time of 7.81 and beat out runners from schools such as UCLA, Georgetown, and Duke.  

York will run this weekend at the City Tech/ York invitational this Friday at Pratt Institute.
