During the men's and women's basketball season, fans in attendance to specific games will have a chance to win big prizes. The grand prizes that will be featured are either $10,000 cash or a $25,000 car.
 
All of the giveaway dates feature a doubleheader for both the men's and women's team. The first game on all dates will start at 5:30 pm, with the second game having a scheduled tip-off time of 7:30 pm. The giveaway will occur during one game of the doubleheader, but fans are encouraged to attend both games on all of the dates. The giveaway dates will be held on:
 

• January 5th vs. Lehman College, Women's Basketball Game, 5:30 pm; Pick-a-Spot; $10,000 prize (5 contestants)
• January 19th vs. Baruch College, Men's Basketball Game, 7:30 pm; Half-Court Shot; $25,000 car prize (1 contestant)
• January 30, vs. Hunter College, Men's Basketball Game, 7:30 pm, Half-Court Shot, $10,000 prize (1 contestant)
• February 13th vs. Brooklyn College, Women's Basketball Game, 5:30 pm; Pick-a-Spot; $25,000 car prize (3 contestants)

 
The first challenge is the half-court shot. One randomly selected fan from the stands will have to make one shot from half court. The participant will only have one attempt to make the shot.

The second challenge is called pick-a-spot. In this event, one randomly chosen contestant will pick where on the court they want to make two shots. In order to win, contestants have to shoot the ball into the baskets on both sides of the court, all from the original spot they chose. For example, the contestant could attempt a lay-up on one side of the court, but would then have to make a full-court shot in the other basket.
 
This offer is open to anyone in attendance during each game, but excludes anyone who has played or coached college, professional or Olympic basketball before or current or former high school basketball players or coaches who have played or coached at that level in the past five years.
